About West End Business Association

The Melbourne Business Network (incorporating West End Business Association) was established in 1995 to represent the west end precinct of our city and promote its historic and corporate identity. The association has successfully broadened and expanded its reach and influence beyond the city, and has grown to become an influential business association.

Our members are local and metropolitan companies, individual business consultants, a large variety of SME firms, educational institutions, as well as national corporates. Retailers, restaurants, hotels, and our local business community, strongly committed to a partnership approach for the positioning and marketing of this important and historical sector of the city, also play an important role within our association.

The Melbourne Business Network:

  • Provides active marketing support and excellent networking opportunities for members.

  • Organises the “Business Breakfast Club” - a popular meeting forum for the wider business community, their management, City of Melbourne councillors and State Government representatives.

The “Business Breakfast Club” meets monthly and presents high profile and informative guest speakers, along with excellent networking and marketing opportunities.

  • Excels in staging functions of interest and fun.

A variety of cocktail functions and luncheons are another part of our networking activities.

  • Offers regular and easy contact to Melbourne Town Hall and its many departments, and the ability to facilitate support when dealing with Council matters.
  • Presents regular educational work shops for business enhancement.
  • Produces a regular email newsletter, designed to present a market place, linking our members with the wider business community and enabling members to promote their products and services.

The Melbourne Business Network is part of the Precinct Programme, which was initiated by the City of Melbourne in 1996. There are 15 precincts within the City of Melbourne, which receive financial support for marketing and promoting their own precinct.
